19th MALWA SANGEET  SAMMAAN FOR  ANAND-MILIND

The 19th Malwa Rangmanch Samiti, Indore  felicitated popular music directors Anand-Milind for their great contribution in  Bollywood film music in over 200 Bollywood films by bestowing the MALWA SANGEET SAMMAAN on 22nd January 2017 at the prestigious Ravindra Natya Grah,Indore. Popular singer Chintan Bakiwala( Voice of Kishore Kumar) and standup comedian Ashok Mishra ,both  belonging from Indore gave a grand musical concert as well as comic acts respectively.

Earlier on 21st Jan. in Ujjain, the brother duo of Anand and Milind were given a warm felicitation and the Mahakaal memento too which was followed by a musical programme of 20 top most numbers composed rendered by local singers of Ujjain.. Anand Milind rose to the top with their melodious music from QAYAMAT SE QAYAMAT TAK which was the runaway hit with gems like  ‘Papa Kehtey Hain Bada Naam Karegaa,’ Akele Hain Toh Kya Gham Hain’, ‘Ae Mere Humsafar, DIL(Mujhe Neend Na Aaye, Khambe  Jaisee Khadi Hain,) ,MOHABBAT, BETA( Dhak Dhak Karne Lagaa and Koyal Se Teri Boli), Phoolon Sa Chehra Tera ( Venkatesh-Karishma Kapoor starrer ANARI ), ADHARAM (Aasmaan Ko Dharti Pe Laana Wala Chahiye, Tuna Tuna Tak Tak Tuna ),Tu Mera Tu mera Hero No.1 ( from HERO No. 1)  and several others and were known to be the Melody Kings just like their father -Late Chitragupta who also ruled the music world for several years during the fifties and sixties.

Incidentally,Mohan Ayyer who is a senior film trade journalist rendered three musical gems  of Mohd. Rafi-  ‘Jaan Dil-e-diwana Rut Jaagi ‘ from OONCHE LOG, Chali Chali Re Patang Meri Chali Re from BHABHI and Ye Parbaton Ke Daayre, Yeh Shaam ka Dhuaan from VAASNA giving a fitting  tribute to the father  Chitragupta of worthy successors  Anand-Milind who combined have given music in more than 450 films in a span of just 30 years.

Among the notable musical giants who have been felicitated earlier by the Malwa Rangmanch Samiti have been Laxmikant Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji, Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan, Usha Khanna, Nadeem Shravan, Khayyam, Ravi, Ravindra Jain and wellknown singers Anup Jalota, Mahendra Kapoor, Kavita Seth and Palak Muchhal. Keshav Rai is the President of the Malwa Rangmanch Samiti since its inception and has been doing yeoman service to the Film,TV and music fraternity.
