Shiivam Tiwari at Dalmia Lions Utsav 2018

Bollywood director and Actor Shiivam Tiwari was a chief guest at “Dalmia Lions Utsav 18”. Bollywood film 22 Days was released in September which got rave reviews, directed and acted by Shiivam Tiwari.  The famous “Dalmia Lions Utsav 18” Fest is organized on 20th and 21st December, 2018 at the famous Dalmia Lions College of Commerce and Economics in Malad. The theme of the DLU 2k18 or the mesmerizing fest is ‘Yugen’ – Engage with Nature’s exhilaration. Yugen is the original Japanese word and its real meaning is the mystery and deep awareness of nature.

  

Over the decades, we have been trying to save and protect our nature. If we really care about our environment and nature, then we can definitely protect it. Keeping this in mind, cyclathon is organized on 15th December 2018 under Road to D. L .U. This Cyclathon will be from Dalmia College to Chota Kashmir Aarey Colony. This venture ends in college campus. After this, the students of Dalmia College are going to give paper bags to local retailers in Malad, Kandivali and Borivali areas. That is exactly what walkathon is organized on 16th December. The event will witness some of media veteran which include Mr. Karl Gomes who has been working as creative director with huge companies like DDB Worldwide and Mudra advertising, Arc Worldwide and is now currently working as a creative director at Rediffusion Y&R and Miss India Tourism 2014 & 2015 Ms. Rasshmi Rajput.  Vala Tourism has given support to this initiative by the company.

“Every year, Dalmia College is trying to give some new themes and some new social messages as well as this year. This year this theme has been kept in mind, and this year’s theme is based on nature’s thinking. Our students organized Cyclathon and Walkathon to create awareness among the masses. Use plastic bags at least and use more of paper bags” says Principal, Dr. N. N. Pandey said.

The DLU has seven major departments, including Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Lagori, Face Paintings, Henna, VJ Hunt, Short Film, and many other such 50 competitions. 850 students from 85 colleges in Mumbai have already been enrolled.
